Job Details – Application Engineer / Field Engineer

Job Purpose

To provide engineering expertise in the practical application of engineering principles, tools, standards, and methods to ensure solutions meet industrial specifications, site requirements, and customer needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other related engineering field. Fresh graduates with strong willingness to learn and grow in industrial engineering services are highly encouraged to apply.

  • Diploma degree with minimum 4 years of relevant experience is also welcome to apply.

  • Basic knowledge of valves and applications, P&ID, piping drawings, and industry standards such as ASME, ASTM, API, and other related standards.

  • Experience in industrial equipment, oil & gas, petrochemical, power plant, mining, or related industries is an advantage, but not mandatory.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Willing to travel and directly interact with stakeholders, customers, and project teams.

  • Fluent in English; additional languages such as Japanese or Mandarin are a plus.

  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.

  • Familiarity with project management tools, CRM systems, Planner, Power Platform, AppSheet, or other no-code / low-code applications is a plus.

  • Able to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.

Specific Requirements

  • Willing to work onsite in onshore, offshore, and overseas areas when required.

  • Preferably maximum 28 years old.

  • Interested in learning no-code / low-code applications such as Power Platform, AppSheet, or similar tools.

  • Experience or strong interest in valve, pump, or industrial equipment repair and services is preferred.

  • Eager to learn technical standards, engineering documentation, troubleshooting, site execution, and customer-facing engineering activities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify trouble in operating equipment and provide technical assessment based on industrial standards.

  • Provide engineering support for valve applications, piping systems, and industrial equipment based on project and customer requirements.

  • Support field activities, including site visits, inspection, troubleshooting, testing, repair, and technical discussion when required.

  • Act as a technical bridge between customer needs and the company’s capability to provide appropriate products and engineering solutions.

  • Review and interpret technical documents such as P&ID, piping drawings, datasheets, and engineering specifications.

  • Prepare technical proposals, product selection, sizing calculations, and technical documentation.

  • Coordinate with customers, vendors, site teams, and internal departments.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including digital tools, engineering databases, and no-code / low-code applications.
